**IMPORTANT UPDATES ON GAYLORD OPRYLAND**
Please see our Frequently Asked Questions for more information concerning the logistics of the change in venue.
MAY 19, 2010 —The Marriott Nashville Airport hotel is now ready to begin taking reservations for all those who have not already had reservations transferred from Gaylord. Please follow this link or by calling 800-770-0555 and using the group name AGEHR-Pinnacle.
MAY 14, 2010 —AGEHR is pleased to announce that we have found a new home for Pinnacle 2010 in Nashville. Through the hard work of the event planning committee and the wonderful people at the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau and our two new hotels, we have successfully relocated event to the Sheraton Music City and the Marriott Nashville Airport. The two hotels are just ½ mile apart and will be wonderful venues for Pinnacle. All event activities will be shared between the two venues including classes, Showcase Concerts, HIC Exhibits, and sleeping rooms. Shuttle service will be provided to move registrants between hotels throughout each day of the event.
If you already had reservations at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel or our overflow hotel, the Courtyard Marriott near Opryland, those existing reservations will automatically be transferred to one of the new hotels. Once that transfer is complete, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with all the details of your new reservation. For more details about these two properties, please visit the Lodging page by clicking the link on the left.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have not yet made your hotel arrangements, all new reservations will go to the Marriott Nashville Airport. They will be able to accept reservations for our group early next week. When they are ready, information about how to make your reservation and secure our group rate will be available on the lodging page.
This change has required some minor adjustments to the event schedule. The updated schedule will be available soon at the Schedule link. Please note that the Final Banquet and Raleigh Ringers Concert on the General Jackson Showboat will still take place. However, it was necessary to move this to an evening dinner cruise instead of an afternoon lunch cruise. We realize this may require some to adjust travel plans and apologize for any inconvenience that may result, but the change was unavoidable.
MAY 7, 2010 —The Gaylord Opryland Hotel will be closed for the next 90-120 days as they work to recover from the recent flooding in Nashville and to restore this beautiful hotel. AGEHR continues to work with officials in Nashville to find an alternate location in Nashville for Pinnacle. We are exploring a number of options to find the best fit for the event and to identify a solution that will have the least impact on the record number of registrants planning to attend. We appreciate your patience as we work through all the details and will continue to post updates here as they become available. Our hearts and prayers remain with all those impacted by these devastating events, particularly our friends at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.
MAY 4, 2010 — AGEHR is saddened by the devastating effects of the flooding in Nashville and throughout the southeast. We are working with officials at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and other properties in Nashville to determine the best course of action for Pinnacle 2010. We are continuing to accept registrations for the event and are proceeding as planned for a fantastic event July 18-21 in Nashville. We will continue to post updates to this page as information becomes available. For now, our prayers are with all those whose lives and livelihood have been impacted by the flooding, and we wish them a quick and full recovery.
Pinnacle is an event focused on helping each attendee reach their personal best and teaching all of us about reaching the apex, the pinnacle of the art of handbell ringing. Regardless of the venue or the audience, we all strive to present the best and most artistic music possible. Numerous opportunities for doing just that will be available in Nashville, Tennessee. Classes, concerts, coaching sessions, networking, HIC exhibits, All-Star Choirs and much more will greet you in Music City - the perfect place for an unmatched musical experience.
Activities will begin Sunday, July 18, 2010, with morning classes, reading sessions, and auditions for the All-Star Choirs. We conclude Wednesday, July 21, with an evening cruise on the General Jackson Showboat featuring a concert by the Raleigh Ringers. More details are available by clicking the links on the left side of this page.
